Silence in the Grey was formed after Elephant Sun went on hiatus. Formed by singer/guitarist Andrew and drummer Kurt looking for a new sound, something heavier and more complex that didn't exist in Elephant Sun. They asked bassist Mike to join them and the trio was officially formed. The band combines elements of doom, sludge, and death metal with psychedelic rock together to get a unique sound.
